CAxMan partner Jotne will be presented at the NAFEMS Nordic event

CAxMan builds on IsoGeometric Analysis (IGA), and the dedicated IGA conferences are consequently of great interest to CAxMan.

Fraunhofer participated in the brokerage event where 50 persons were reached and participated in activities organized jointly with other H2020 Projects in Brussels, 1st March 2018.

80 participants from the automotive sector got a presentation by the CAxMan coordinator on CAxMan and the CAxMan ideas. An estimate of 60% of the audience was industrial.

The CAxMan coordinator presented CAxMan to the 135 participants and took part in networking.

Georg Muntingh presented CAxMan both in a talk and though a poster.

The ISO 10303 AP242 workshop is planned for Hamburg on October 19. In CAXMAN we are using AP209, which is a superset of AP242, meaning that that we are compatible with this standard.

In the context of AM, the Conference will focus on simulation for different AM technologies (fused deposition, laser based methods, …), multi-physics and multi-scale simulation, material modeling, shape and topology optimization, CAD to part chain, validation and verification, innovative application, and related research areas.

Jotne will present at NAFEMS World Congress 2017

Fraunhofer participated in the event to decide if application for FoF 12 should be submitted.

FoFAM project takes up the challenge of clustering developments on AM technologies and associated regimes to develop a strategy to ensure AM industrial deployment.

Jotne will conduct a seminar on the subject of “New Frontiers in Engineering Simulation and Testing”. The seminar will help companies explore new capabilities in Simulation and Test Data Management and how to use ISO standards to increase the interoperability of engineering and PLM/ILS information.

This influential, annual flagship for Simulation based Engineering and Sciences is a seminal event for all sector stakeholders covering industry, academia, research and software vendors.
